You know what this means...
I said the contest would run until next Friday, or until someone reported that they had ridden singletrack...
And the good news is, several of you have ridden!
So, I have added a poll at the beginning of this thread. I have set the poll to expire in 5 days, so get your votes in.
If you need to, you can review the entries in the thread, with the exception of Greg's... He did a heck of a job, so you need to make sure to check it out if you haven't...
ridingwithdogs.blogspo...2/huh.html
I have taken one liberty with the contest... I added one award.
I am calling it the "My glass is half-full... OF BEER!!!" award.
It was a close match... Greg was the first one to bring up the optimistic idea that the weather doesn't need to keep you off the trails, but Ben was the first one to post photographic evidence of a ride. So, they were each the recipients of a pint tonight at State Line.
OK, back to the voting... The poll is at the beginning of the thread... When the poll closes, the winner will be announced!

Dang it!!! Once someone votes, you can't edit a poll...
If you want to vote for miket55, you'll have to do a "write-in" in the thread...

OK, we'll actually have to give him the benefit of the doubt this time...
The number of votes is actually "printed" on the bar... It looks like the color of the font is so close to the color of the bar, it is hard to see.

I gotta try my hand at this:
On fine summer afternoon, I went for a ride. It was a DRY day and the trails were in excellent condition. However, about 10 minutes into my ride I buggered a shift and my chain suffered a terrible nick.
It went tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, and then I went home.

How much longer is the contest going to continue, the suspense of who's gonna win is killing me. AC, everyone's votes are bumped down a line after mine.
