Fight obesity rider in town

I was leaving the bike shop today when I noticed a guy on a bike carrying a lot of gear heading the direction I had just left. It was close to closing time, so I called to tell Josh be looking for him to see if they could offer him a drink. Turns out he left out of San Fransico on June 4th to ride across America to raise awareness about obesity. He is totally by himself with no road support. He carries about 100 lbs of gear.
Brian made a phone call to arrange a place for him to stay overnight. He is heading out in the am for Roanoake, next big stop D.C.

According to Google Maps bike route that's around 2800 miles from San Francisco to here. If he left June 4th that's 48 days to here. Averages 58 miles a day, every day.
