Melinda Moonshine Jackson & I are in! Just sent our email.
A race on Sunday $25 no late reg fee, hmm.... sounds interesting. I'm not sure about the CAT thing, I'm more of a dog person so I might need some help figuring out what kinda CAT I should race under. Singlespeed? Anyone else thinking about racing?

What? Did you say something?
Seriously though... the two questions were posted Friday, and I spent my entire day today going down to pick up Chanbug from Knoxville the day before he is supposed to start school. Between that and being out of town on business this past Sunday through Thursday... well, let's just say this has been a pretty busy week.
Olga, I found this just below the info Greg got from the Warrior Creek website:
Unless someone tells me otherwise, I have to assume that they are taking a spot in the Group Site. That's why I asked people to let me know in their e-mails. So far, 4 folks have told me "definitely" on the Group Site. There are 2 more folks that I am assuming are taking sites. I thought that I remembered that Joe and Olga, and Greg and Melinda were bringing campers, so I wasn't sure there.
I don't know how strict they are on number of tents, but I can call and check tomorrow. Out at Douthat, MORE would put multiple tents on one pad... hopefully we may be able to do something like that.
I think that 8:00 p.m. is a good start time for the night ride.
I was thinking of 9:00 a.m. for the Saturday Group Ride... enough time to get in some miles, and still be back for lunch.
The potluck dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
As far as folks who do not check the NTMBA website regularly, the camping trip announcement went out in the newsletter, which presumably goes to all club members. I don't know of any other way to get the info out to folks beyond that.
Here is the latest list:
GROUP SITE:
Mike T.
Mark G. + 3
Jared V. + 3
John P. + 2
Andy and Abby
Chris Dillow
Hedgeknight
Rick and LaDonna
Eric , Whitney and Avery
Patrick
Brandon
GETTING OWN SITE:
Davis +3 (3?)
Greg and Melinda (and of course I won't forget Moonshine and Jackson)
The Clevingers
Alan S. + 1
NOT SURE WHETHER IN GROUP SITE OR OWN SITE:
TOTAL: 33 !!!

Bumpity, bump...
What: Fall Camping Trip
Where: Warrior Creek Park
When: August 13 -15, 2010
Come join the Northeast Tennessee Mountain Bike Association for a weekend of sweet singletrack, good food, and good times! The club will be having its fall camping trip at Warrior Creek Park in Wilkesboro, NC from August 13th to 15th.
For now, here is the plan:
Friday Evening: A night ride, for those who get there in time.
Saturday Morning: Group Ride(s)... number of groups will depend on desired pace and number of participants.
Saturday Afternoon: "On-Your-Own" rides - ride as much... or as little as you'd like!
Saturday Evening: Potluck dinner... Bring out your "A" game for the 2nd Annual NTMBA cooking contest!
Sunday Morning: Group Ride(s)
Warrior Creek Park is located on the south side of the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir in North Carolina. Some of you may be more familiar with it as the home of the Annual 6 Hours of Warrior Creek Race.
We have reserved Group Campground B, which overlooks the lake and the mountain bike trails. The group campground will accommodate up to 50 people. It is a "tent-only" campground with no hookups. So, if you want to bring a camper, you will have to make your own arrangements for a site.
For more information about the park and campground, click here: www.recreation.gov/cam...rkId=73467
To register for the camping trip, please send an e-mail to:
ntmbacamping @ embarqmail.com
Please list the names of each person in your group, and state whether you will be staying at the group site, or getting a camper site (so we can at least know who all will be there).
For those of you "GPS-ing" it, the address on the info page is:
499 RESERVOIR ROAD
Wilkesboro NC 28697-0182
Even if you're not a member, come join us for the fun, and see what NTMBA is all about... who knows, you may be a member by the time the weekend is done!

Dang Piper how much longer are you going to ignore our questions?
I know of several folks who are coming out that haven't sent an email, some are older NTMBAer's who don't cruise the site anymore. I think this just might be a big turnout.
Does anyone have a preference for the night ride start time/location for Fri?
Here are the details on the group site:
